1. About C-Tribe Society

C-Tribe Society is a Canadian registered organization (Business Number: 77854-8289-RC0001) that operates publicly as C-Tribe Festival & Conference. The festival spans seven verticals — Tech, Fashion, Gaming, Music, Culture, Film, and Health — and takes place annually in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. These Terms apply to all C-Tribe digital properties including ctribefestival.com, ctribesociety.com, vertical microsites, and associated event platforms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

The Services are not directed to individuals under 13. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you must have parental or legal guardian consent to use the Services.

Certain features — including event registration, pass purchases, and community tools — may require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Description of services

C-Tribe Festival & Conference brings together creators, entrepreneurs, professionals, and enthusiasts across technology, fashion, gaming, music, culture, film, and health. The Services may include:

  • Event registration, pass purchasing (Single Event, Vertical, Tribe, VIP, Executive, and Diversity passes), and ticketing.
  • Access to festival programming including panels, workshops, showcases, performances, screenings, and networking events across all seven verticals.
  • Newsletters, promotional communications, and event updates.
  • Volunteer registration, partnership and sponsorship inquiries, and press coordination.
  • Community features, attendee networking, and session recommendations.
  • Integrations with third-party platforms for payments, social media, and event logistics.

No guarantee. C-Tribe does not guarantee specific programming, speaker appearances, networking outcomes, or business results from festival attendance.

4. Passes, pricing, and payments

C-Tribe offers tiered pass options at prices that may vary by purchase date (pre-sale tiers) and pass type. All prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes.

  • Pass purchases are processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe). You authorize the provider to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees and taxes.
  • Pre-sale pricing tiers are time-limited. Once a tier expires, the next pricing tier applies automatically.
  • Diversity Pass applications are evaluated based on stated criteria. Submission does not guarantee approval.
  • C-Tribe may modify pricing prospectively at any time. Changes will not affect completed purchases.

5. Refund policy

Except as required by applicable law or expressly stated on the relevant event or offer page:

  • All pass purchases are final and non-refundable.
  • Pass transfers may be permitted on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at hello@ctribefestival.com to inquire.
  • If C-Tribe cancels an event, registered attendees will be offered a full refund or credit toward a future event at C-Tribe's discretion.
  • If an event is rescheduled, passes will be honored for the new date. Refund requests for rescheduled events will be evaluated individually.

6. Event participation and conduct

By attending C-Tribe Festival & Conference or any associated event, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws, these Terms, venue policies, and any event-specific rules or health and safety guidelines.
  • Treat all attendees, staff, volunteers, speakers, and partners with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive behaviour of any kind is prohibited.
  • Follow the C-Tribe Code of Conduct, which applies to all festival spaces — physical and digital.
  • Accept that C-Tribe may remove any participant who violates these Terms or the Code of Conduct, without refund.

7. Media release and photography

C-Tribe events may be recorded, photographed, live-streamed, or otherwise captured for editorial, educational, and promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to the capture and use of your image, likeness, name, voice, and statements by C-Tribe and its authorized partners, sponsors, and media partners — without compensation — for use across C-Tribe platforms, social media, marketing materials, and press coverage.

If you have concerns about being photographed or recorded, please contact us prior to the event at hello@ctribefestival.com. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests where feasible.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Post or transmit content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate C-Tribe, its staff, or any other person, or misrepresent your affiliation with the organization.
  • Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Services, their infrastructure, or other users' accounts.
  • Collect or harvest personal information of other users without their consent.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Services without prior written permission.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Services and all content provided by C-Tribe — including trademarks, logos, text, graphics, photography, video, software, and audiovisual works — are owned by C-Tribe Society or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. The C-Tribe name, C-Tribe Festival & Conference brand, and all vertical brands (C-Tribe x Tech, C-Tribe x Fashion, C-Tribe x Gaming, C-Tribe x Music, C-Tribe x Culture, C-Tribe x Film, C-Tribe x Health) are trademarks of C-Tribe Society.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not use, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any C-Tribe content or branding without prior written consent.

10. User content and license

You retain ownership of content you submit through the Services (e.g., registration information, feedback, social media posts tagging C-Tribe). By submitting content, you grant C-Tribe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display that content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Services and C-Tribe events.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit the content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. If you provide ideas or suggestions about the Services, you grant C-Tribe the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how C-Tribe collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The Privacy Policy also explains our use of cookies, analytics tools, and third-party service providers. For privacy questions, contact hello@ctribefestival.com.

12. Third-party services and links

The Services may integrate with or link to third-party platforms, payment processors, social media services, and partner websites. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies — not these Terms. C-Tribe is not responsible for third-party content, actions, or policies. Some service providers may be located outside of Canada, and your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Communications

By registering for an event, purchasing a pass, subscribing to our newsletter, or otherwise engaging with the Services, you consent to receiving transactional communications (e.g., order confirmations, event updates, schedule changes, security notices). You may also opt-in to promotional communications about C-Tribe events, partners, and community initiatives. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, C-TRIBE SOCIETY AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, PARTNERS, AND SPONSORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. PROGRAMMING, SPEAKERS, AND EVENT SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, C-TRIBE SOCIETY AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, PARTNERS, AND SPONSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES. IN ALL CASES, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF C-TRIBE FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO C-TRIBE FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT, OR (B) CAD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless C-Tribe Society and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, partners, and sponsors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

17. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or is harmful to other users, C-Tribe, or third parties. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

18. Force majeure

C-Tribe will not be liable for delays or failures in performance due to causes beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, labour disputes, power outages, internet failures, pandemics, public health events, severe weather, governmental actions, or venue unavailability.

19. Changes to services and terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the Services at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to our websites. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the provincial or federal courts located in Edmonton, Alberta for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services.

21. General provisions

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct, and any event-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and C-Tribe regarding the Services.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it in the future.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms. C-Tribe may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
